The Thai Senior Healthcare Trade and Services Association (SHSTA), in collaboration with the Panyapiwat Institute of Management (PIM), held an Academic Collaboration Signing Ceremony to formalize a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at strengthening the capabilities of healthcare professionals and comprehensive elderly care personnel in response to Thailand’s transition into a fully aged society.
This partnership seeks to enhance knowledge, professional standards, and workforce competencies in senior healthcare services through the integration of academic expertise, management practices, and real-world experiences from the healthcare industry. The collaboration is designed to cultivate highly qualified professionals equipped with expertise, a deep understanding of elderly care, and the readiness to support the future growth of the Senior Healthcare and Wellness Economy sectors.
Under this agreement, both organizations will jointly promote education, training, curriculum development, and knowledge exchange in elderly care, rehabilitation, geriatric medicine, senior care facility management, as well as innovation and technology development to improve the quality of life for Thailand’s elderly population.
Dr. Kengpong Tangarunsanti, President of the Thai Senior Healthcare Trade and Services Association and Director of Chersery Home International, stated:
“Thailand is entering a Super-Aged Society in full scale. Preparing a skilled workforce is at the heart of the country’s future healthcare system and economy. This collaboration between academia and the healthcare service industry will help cultivate qualified professionals with high standards and a genuine caregiving spirit, contributing to a stronger future for Thailand.”
