An academic training program for elderly caregivers on the care of patients with kidney disease requiring peritoneal dialysis was successfully conducted. We were honored to have Ms. Piyaporn Towanang, RN, Advanced Practice Nurse Specialist from King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, The Thai Red Cross Society, as our distinguished speaker. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Baxter (Thailand) for supporting this highly beneficial hands-on workshop for today’s participants.

Chersery Home International Hospital, in collaboration with the Thai Senior Healthcare & Service Trade Association, aims to elevate the standards of care for older adults with chronic kidney failure who require peritoneal dialysis. This initiative focuses on training and developing qualified personnel with strong understanding and practical experience in peritoneal dialysis to ensure patient safety and quality of care. This is the first cohort of the program, with a target to train 1,000 caregivers by 2027.
