A Decade of Trust: A Family’s Experience with Chersery Home International

The other day, Dr. Gengpoong kindly invited Khun Mae Pailin, P’Maew, and P’Namthip to join the merit-making ceremony on the occasion of Chersery Home International’s 10th anniversary.

Chersery Home International is a comprehensive geriatric hospital and rehabilitation center dedicated to providing care for older adults and patients requiring long-term support.

Our family first received services from Chersery Home during the early years of its establishment. At that time, we entrusted the care of our beloved family members, P’Kung and my mother, Khun Mae Pranee, who had suffered from a stroke and required palliative care and full assistance in daily living.

Throughout six and a half years of care, they never developed pressure ulcers. Their skin remained healthy and clean, and the care team prepared detailed and comprehensive care reports for follow-up appointments with physicians at Ramathibodi Hospital every four months, until the day they peacefully passed on.

Looking back, it was truly the right decision. It allowed P’Maew to care for Khun Mae with peace of mind while also having time to rest, travel, and live her life. If we had cared for bedridden patients at home ourselves, without professional nursing knowledge, one illness could have affected the entire family.

At present, we bring Khun Mae to The Senizens & Chersery Home Premium Senior Care, a member of the Chersery Home network, for physical therapy once a week. The sessions help strengthen her muscles and guide her through appropriate exercises. It has also been a positive activity for her mind at the age of 92, as she remembers that every Monday is her day to get ready, attend physical therapy, and enjoy lunch.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Dr. Gengpoong and the entire team. Beyond caring for older adults and patients, Dr. Gengpoong has also kindly shared valuable health knowledge through educational lectures and community outreach programs.
