สมาคมการค้าเพื่อการดูแลและบริการสุขภาพผู้สูงอายุไทย นำโดย นพ.เก่งพงศ์ ตั้งอรุณสันติ นายกสมาคมฯ ประกาศความมุ่งมั่นในการผลักดันนโยบายและมาตรฐานการดูแลผู้สูงอายุของไทยให้เทียบเท่ามาตรฐานสากล โดยมีเป้าหมายเพื่อยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุไทย ฟื้นฟูศักดิ์ศรีความเป็นมนุษย์ และสร้างระบบการดูแลที่ยั่งยืนในระยะยาว
The Thai Elderly Care and Health Services Trade Association, led by Dr. Gengpong Tangaroonsanti, President of the Association, has announced its commitment to driving forward policies and standards of elderly care in Thailand to meet internationally recognized benchmarks. The initiative aims to enhance the quality of life for Thai seniors, restore human dignity, and build a sustainable system of care.
Dr. Gengpong stated:
Our goal is to create a system of elderly care that goes beyond medical treatment alone. We must focus on rehabilitation, the restoration of value and human dignity, and building a society where seniors and their families can live together with true quality of life.
The Association has set a clear target that within the next five years, Thailand will witness a significant transformation in long-term care. This includes expanding rehabilitation capacity into proactive health promotion, positioning the country to fully embrace its aging society while reinforcing confidence in the international standards of Thai elderly care.
This initiative represents a crucial milestone for Thailand, not only aligning with the needs of its own society but also establishing the potential to become a regional and global role model in elderly care.
