ในปี 2578 ประเทศไทยจะเข้าสู่ สังคมผู้สูงอายุ มากขึ้น โดยมีประชากรอายุ 60 ปีขึ้นไป กว่า 30% นับเป็นทั้งปัญหา ความท้าทาย และโอกาสของไทยในการสร้างระบบบริการรองรับผู้สูงอายุ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการแพทย์ การดูแลที่บ้าน เนอร์สซิงโฮม โรงพยาบาลผู้สูงอายุ บุคลากรที่ชำนาญการในการดูแลคนไข้ที่มีความซับซ้อน รวมถึงรองรับผู้สูงอายุต่างชาติที่มีเป้าหมายในการมาอยู่อาศัยที่ไทยระยะยาว
